The exhibitions shows, among other things, portraits of Schumann’s parents and the earliest picture of Robert Schumann as an adolescent, paperbacks and a coin balance used in August Schumann’s bookshop, a letter written by Schumann to his mother at the age of 7, a draft of his family tree when the composer was 14 years old, Schumann’s bookcase, his leather wallet with engraved signature as well as Robert Schumann’s bible.
